After embarking on a long and gruelling journey, the quester, an elderly man, stumbled upon a young boy seated beneath a mighty oak tree beside a stream of flowing water. The boy's countenance was radiant as he turned his face towards the quester. Speaking in a voice as soft as the wind, he asked, "Is it love if it's not tested? Just as water tests all things at the beginning, fire tests all things at the end, yet grace remains. Knowledge spans between two points - a beginning and an end - and traversing that path is a journey of understanding. By faith, we know we are God's children, but we truly know ourselves when we behold His glory. Share with me the wisdom you have gained and breathe into me the truth you have lived, for you have journeyed afar and returned. What have you come to know?"
As the old man submitted to a state of humility and tears streamed down his face, the boy waited patiently. The seeker pondered, reflecting on the path he had taken, searching for the words to articulate the knowledge he had amassed. Finally, a broad smile lit up his face as he declared, "Grace is the logic of love."
At that very moment, the man's spirit returned to his body, and he opened his eyes. His consciousness had traversed through time, seeking meaning, and with each door he opened, he discovered more aged wisdom. But each doorway led him to another, and soon he had lost his way back home. In that darkness, he searched his heart and found an inflection point, a moment of realisation. A light shone upon him, revealing that every point in time must return to its starting point to become whole. With this newfound insight, the distant future that once seemed unattainable now lay within his present moment. And when he realised that life is lived in the present, he found the door that led him back home. The man stood up from beneath the oak tree and approached the stream, where he drank deeply from its waters. As he lifted his head, he beheld the sun rising in the east, illuminating the garden.
